Loupe Opens Up the Running Game, with Afterimage as Its Playable Showcase

Reality Software Entertainment is highlighting Loupe, a free, MIT-licensed toolkit for inspecting and editing LÖVE games while they run. Developers can adjust values, move objects, and pause or step through a moment without rebuilding their game around an editor.

For a small team, that makes a familiar task more direct: change something, see how it feels, and keep working. Loupe includes undo and redo and can save adjustments as readable overrides.

Afterimage: The Glass Reach gives players a way to see the project in action. The free space shooter has three sectors, an Endless mode, salvage to collect, and ship upgrades. Its source is included, so developers can also look under the hood.

Explore Loupe on GitHub or play Afterimage on itch.io.
