Marginalia Trials of Faith Is Out Now: Restoring the Manuscript
Marginalia Trials of Faith is available now on the App Store, free to download.
Illuminated manuscript pages have been corrupted by animated marginalia creatures — a lion, a serpent, an ape, a demon, a dove, a dragon — and the puzzle is putting them right. In Simple Puzzle Mode you tap Bible verses to highlight the passage that matters and apply holy symbols, a crown, a sword or a chalice, to transform a creature, with a gold leaf restoration meter rising as you get them right.
Biblical Journey Mode swaps puzzles for moral dilemmas drawn from scripture, with creatures standing in for virtues and sins. There are ten levels across the two modes, no timers, a hint system, and levels can be reset freely. It runs completely offline.
The listing puts the design plainly: this is less a game about the Bible than one that uses it as a puzzle language.
